The workshop lineup was exciting and the speakers were knowledgeable individuals who stimulated engaging debates and pointed out tips on how to tackle some of the current and future issues facing our companies and as individuals. It was a fruitful workshop which also presented opportunities to expand the network of fellow Infosec professionals. I look forward to the next event. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this initiative.

With so few forums available for Security Professionals to sound board idea's and concepts without prejudice, the CISO Alliance fills a void that exists. With the market as small as it is this is also a great opportunity to enhance one's network.

As the first step into the IT security initiative with Alliance Media, I was quite impressed by the agenda and the content delivered, it was refreshing to have a platform to debate and discuss IT Security and Governance with peers within various organizations, I am confident that this initiative will lead to great things for the IT community in Southern Africa by bringing industry leaders together.

Overall the event was well organised and definitely added value . I would say that as a CIO who is concerned about Security , my time was well spent and there were many learning opportunities that I found valuable. Furthermore from a networking perspective , the event enabled some useful contactmaking and peer discussions.

This being my first attendance, I enjoyed the lively debate on the different information security topics and learnt a lot in one day. Best of all is the network of professionals and the tips and tricks shared on the day, some which I will be implementing immediately. A lot of what I heard also confirmed that public and private sector organisation face the same challenges, with Information/Cybersecurity skills shortage topping the list. Thank you Leigh and Andrew for organising this invaluable forum. Looking forward to the next one.

CISO Alliance represents a great platform for engagement for information security practitioners, allowing them to engage with like minded individuals to share ideas and war stories. The multi-diverse industry representation provides perspective to the individual practitioner, which provides great exposure in a limited timeframe

As a cyber Security strategist and professional , there is no better place or platform that can expose one to a diverse collective of great cyber minds , the CISO alliance Johannesburg chapter meeting is a "blockchain" of cyber minds... sharing valuable cyber insights that are validated and reciprocated by all paricipants.

The CISO Alliance conference represents a gathering like minded Information Security leaders from a wide variety of industries. The forum provides an excellent opportunity for networking, debate, knowledge sharing and building a platform for collaboration in the interest of improved cyber security for all participants

I enjoyed the session and felt engaged for most of the time. I enjoyed the wide variety of minds in the room, but will also caution 1 / 14 against having too technical people in the room - this may push away your intended audience.

This alliance session was a useful opportunity to talk about the items that we are *actually* working on as opposed to traditional slideware and share our experiences and learnings. In that respect this was a fairly unique opportunity and I look forward to more.

A big thank you to Alliance Media Group for putting together an event which is truly worth attending. The speakers were thorough and knowledgeable on their topics, bringing across a great deal of insight in a short amount of time. Although all talks were excellent, special mention for me goes to Harris Charalambous for a very interesting talk on how Standard Bank are handling the evolution of their IT teams.

I attended the CIO Alliance 2017 meet in Johannesburg recently. The relevant content, shared experiences and peer group interaction was insightful and meaningful. Leigh and Andrew's passion and expertise in hosting this interaction plays a critical part in the success of the Alliance. I strongly recommend this as a day well worth investing time in for CIOs.

Celeste Rogers, Group CIO, MTO Group

The event was well organised and was interactive and informative, well done. Different to other events where there is no interaction and live feedback during the talks. Also the size allows for more interaction and you don't get lost in the crowd, good for networking..

I was privileged to be part of the CIO Alliance meet in 2016. The CIO Alliance is a refreshing change to the typical IT Leaders seminars/conferences. The alliance is focused on bringing together industry thought leaders in a "think-tank environment" allowing robust debate and interaction. The group is perfectly sized to allow interaction and creative abrasion and agility. Led by passionate and energetic Leigh Thomas, the focus is on ensuring attendees derive value from the day and are not bogged down by eager sales execs. Leigh engages actively with a number of the top industry leaders and uses input from this exposure to ensure that the topics are relevant. The CIO Alliance is a refreshing and interactive experience. I am confident that participants walk away not only having enjoyed the interaction and content, but knowing that is was time well spent.

As an experienced attendee, attending the second CIO alliance was another great experience, an open plaform to discuss and hear from other peers within the IT world. I believe an alliance that is able to allow leaders in the IT space to communicate their thoughts and ask the relevant questions, is definitely headed in the right direction. Well done to Alliance Media Group.

The concept is heading in the right direction. I believe there will be tremendous value once a significant level of knowledge and experience is built up in the group. Celeste had the most insightful presentation and an interesting perspective on the user/employee base (relative to my objective of understanding how other CIO's influence decision making). Len and Brett were interesting in that I have been customers of theirs respective institutions for many years and have different experience of the services provided...again from a perspective of 'how to influence' I extracted some value from their experiences.

The presentation on the IoT and 4IR is based on sales hype and futurists visions...a mix between were it could be and how close technology is getting there. This is always interesting and good to stimulate great and progressive ideas, but it is done at every event. I suggest taking one aspect and unpacking it, relating it to practical vertical industries and stimulating a more focused conversation. I believe a focused examples will be great learning points rather than the sales and futurist driven perspective..

I have to say that I enjoyed the intimate setup with just the CIO's being present and no vendors trying to sell me commodity stuff.

The discussions that took place resonates with me on many levels, from common CIO challenges to Stakeholder engagement it was very useful, something that I can take back to my organization and put into practice.
Going forward, I would like to see more of a certain capability such as: Cloud, Governance, Strategy, Hyper Converged Solutions. However, like one of the candidates suggested, pick one or two of these topics and invite the industry's best to come through and provide an educated discussion that's non vendor bias.

All in all, I really enjoyed the day - the food was great and the company was even better.
A Big thank you to Leigh Thomas, Robert Boccia, Brett St Clair (funny guy), Len de Villiers and Celeste Rogers for the insights into your business and all the advice that you shared.
